Viostudio is a creative project of a talented photographer and designer Mark Rafaelov.

Mark was born in Baku and spent his early years there, in 1995 he chose to repatriate to Israel and it's there that his passion for photography budded and thrived. Upon completing his military service Mark studied in the Western Galilee College, which was his first acquaintance with fine art and his first experience in it. However he majored in graphic design and later he has never pursued formal education in photography, he mastered photographic art and developed his skills in autodidactic method.

These days Mark works in many different genres, but the main characters of his pictures are always people, be it an indoor portrait with its artfully created unique atmosphere, or a street snapshot where a total stranger is mystically united as a character in a scene. All Mark's pictures may be recognized for the moment of truth they depict, the very moment when a character's essence is shown up, which we so rarely can see.

During several years Mark has tried various cameras and now he works with the analogue equipment, namely, the basic and the medium format cameras. When asked, why analogue cameras, - he says he doesn't believe in the supposedly limitless possibilities of the digital ones. In his opinion, the more complicated situation is for taking a shot, the more interesting and unpredictable is the result obtained. Also, some technical capacities of any digital camera are incomparable to the old-fashioned film, like reproduction of color palette and the intensity, half-tones contrast and the depth of field, etc.

Mark has taken part in three photo-exhibitions, and now he is working on a personal one. He is available for any collaboration both on commercial and purely artistic basis.
